Two Projects Awarded Funding from the University of Ljubljana HUD Fund

We are pleased to announce that two projects from the University of Ljubljana HUD Fund for 2026 have been awarded: Empowering Primary School Teachers to Support Pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Challenges through Music Therapy Techniques and Water Creative Lab.

The first project, led by Assist. Špela Pučko, in collaboration with the Knoll Institute for Music Therapy and Supervision, focuses on supporting teachers in their work with pupils experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges. Through adapted music therapy techniques, the project aims to equip primary school teachers with short and effective musical interventions that can be incorporated into classroom activities, thereby contributing to improved socialisation, stronger group cohesion, and greater inclusion among pupils.

The second project, Water Creative Lab, led by Assist. Prof. Matej Bonin, in collaboration with Ljubljana Musical Youth , brings together music, physics, water, materials, and creative experimentation. It is intended for students from five secondary schools across Slovenia, who will explore the effects of water on the sound of percussion instruments through music-and-physics workshops and participate in the collaborative performance of an ad hoc musical composition.

Both projects combine art, education, research, and social responsibility, opening up new possibilities for interdisciplinary, experiential, and inclusive learning.
