Listen to Your Emotions
The event offers an immersive musical experience in which outstanding classical music opens up a space for exploring, recognising, and expressing emotions. It is intended for primary school pupils from the sixth grade onwards, secondary school students, and university students. The event encourages participants to reflect on how music conveys emotional states, whether our responses to music are universal, and what role listening to music can play in supporting well-being and helping us cope with emotions.
The event is organised in collaboration with Ljubljana Musical Youth and features the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor Zoran Bičanin. The concert is hosted by Katarina Habe and Franci Krevh.

MIR–PEACE Concert

The concert aims to raise public awareness of tolerance and peace as fundamental human values, responsibilities, possibilities, rights, and common goods.
The Brass Ensemble of the University of Ljubljana Academy of Music – BrassAG – was founded in 2007 to provide aspiring professional musicians with as much experience as possible on concert stages in Slovenia and abroad. The ensemble performs a diverse range of programmes in various formations and offers its members opportunities to perform solo works.
Water Workshop

Percussion instruments are generally played and heard in air – but what happens when sounding objects of every conceivable size and shape are played in water? The manipulation of percussion sounds through water was popularised in the world of classical music by the Chinese-American composer Tan Dun, best known for his Grammy Award-winning score for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). Water amplifies and transforms the sound of percussion instruments in almost magical ways. During the workshop, the participants will experiment together in search of unusual and meditative sonic possibilities. The participants will become acquainted with gongs, cymbals, and crotales, as well as ordinary objects from everyday life that can be transformed into fully fledged musical instruments.
