Music Heals
The monograph Music Heals: The Role of Music in Paediatric Care brings together art and science, building bridges between different generations and professional disciplines that work hand in hand towards a shared goal: creating an emotionally and socially supportive hospital environment. Such an environment can help children and adolescents navigate the treatment process more easily, while also providing support for their parents and healthcare professionals. The book is divided into two thematic sections. The first explores the fundamental dimensions of music and sound as therapeutic tools, while the second presents applied approaches and clinical research that deepen our understanding of the relational and systemic role of music in paediatric care.

Yoga for Musicians’ Psychophysical Health and Well-Being
The handbook Yoga for Musicians’ Psychophysical Health and Well-Being explores the benefits and positive connections that yoga practice can offer musicians. Musicians are exposed to physically and psychologically demanding activities, including intensive performance schedules, several hours of repetitive movement each day, and strenuous postures while playing an instrument. As a result, they frequently report tension, pain, or injuries associated with instrumental performance. The handbook therefore focuses on the muscles of the upper body that musicians use most intensively while playing, as well as the common musculoskeletal problems they experience. It also addresses music performance anxiety and describes its symptoms.

How to Shine on Stage
Being a good musician does not necessarily mean being successful on stage. Many musicians can play or sing exceptionally well behind closed doors or in more informal performance settings, yet when they step onto the stage, they are unable to demonstrate the full extent of their abilities. I am delighted to invite you on a journey that has long stirred questions within me and sparked my search for answers and practical solutions to the challenge of how to shine through music-making – for oneself and for others. Above all, I have been inspired by the goal of guiding young musicians towards optimising their psychological capacities so that they can experience a state of flow and achieve musical excellence.

Music and Inclusion in Formal and Non-Formal Education
The monograph documents work focused on connecting formal and non-formal education and promoting the inclusion of vulnerable groups through music. It brings together contributions by students from different years of study who explore the impact of music on individuals with dyslexia, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and chronic illnesses. It also addresses music therapy, adaptations to teaching practices, and support for the mental health of music students. The contributions offer insight into inclusive educational practices that highlight the power of music to connect and support individuals in a wide range of life circumstances, while also opening up possibilities for further research.

Shaping Emotions and Behaviour Through Music
The handbook is intended for professionals from a range of fields – including preschool educators, teachers, school counsellors, therapists, and others – who work with children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties. It presents innovative teaching approaches that harness the positive effects of musical activities to support emotional and behavioural regulation. The introductory section defines emotional and behavioural difficulties and provides an overview of how they manifest across different developmental stages. This is followed by a review of research into the effects of music on children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties. An extensive chapter is devoted to music therapy and its practical application in work with these children and adolescents, followed by a chapter on music-based educational games. The main section of the handbook provides practical examples of musical activities drawing on elements of music therapy and music-based educational games. These activities are designed to support goals in the affective and social-moral domains of individual development. With appropriate adaptations, the practical section can also be applied when working with other groups of children and adolescents with special educational needs. It can likewise be used to enrich music lessons in primary schools and music schools.
